Ambiance and service was great. Food quality about as good as you can expect in Alaska. Everything was priced moderately for what's offered.

This place has been an all time favorite of mine since I was 16. It’s pricey but very yummy. Lots of drinks to pick from. It’s a good place for dinner or sitting in the bar and having a good time out. The bar if you are looking for a nice peaceful place to have a drink with friends without the whole rough and rowdy crowd this is the place for you because it’s prefect for that. Lunch and dinner is Devine. The staff are sweet friendly and helpful with offering drink ideas. I’ve even see the staff let someone charge their cellphone when it had died so they are very helpful. I will keep coming back to this restaurant when I’m wanting a nice meal out. I’m very glad that there is a restaurant here on the peninsula that you can have a nice meal/drink out without the rowdy crowd.

Service is attentive and pleasant. Large selection of food, from surf to turf. Prices are reasonable. I can recommend the scallops with mushrooms. Very good for a cold miserable spring day, or any day really.The dessert menu is large and I suspect all are equally good. Portions for the desserts are large so I suspect meant to be shared.The pecan pie is rare to see on a menu and worth a try only if you share or get the rest to go.

This place is a hidden gem! I love the smoked ribeye steak and the prime rib bites! Very very good food and service. I try to eat here whenever I am in town for work.

I'm going to give this a place a 5 star review. I come down to soldotna and kenai area probably once or twice a month, and my girlfriends brother was doing live music with his band so we attended it, here. I had a salad, that was fresh with delicious creamy Italian dressing and two jack and cokes that were balanced very well. I then ordered the smoked rib eye steak with potatoes and veggies, medium rare and it was PERFECT. I am not entirely sure where these other reviews got bad reviews or said the steak was dry but it was warm and perfectly pink and very tender and the dressing on top was well done. Overall I had a very good experience and will recommend it and dine here again. Thank you!

Great food for the price. Staff was friendly and our waitress was attentive. This is a fantastic gem of a restaurant. The cornflake mango pineapple chicken was amazing! Steak was juicy and well prepared. The calamari appetizer was delicious and the sauce screams for extra bread to soak it up! It's in an inn but don't let the location fool you! This is 5 star food and well worth drive from Anchorage!

I had the seafood platter (king crab legs, cod and scallops), husband had the prawns. Easily the best seafood we've had in years. Dessert was the mousse (house specialty) and creme brulee. Wonderful! Excellent service. Look past the fact the restaurant is in a hotel and the decor is dated. This is the place to eat while in Sodotna and Kenai!

Some friends and I where in Alaska 2018 and we have another trip setup for 2020 in July. We so enjoyed it so much the last time we were looking forward to it being open and operational. Some of the best food anywhere in America. Call them, see if we can get them open.

Went for dinner and it was a very tasty dinner, server was friendly and the food was great, only giving this a 4 star review because the sever almost forgot to take my order and thought I just wanted an appetizer and she almost gave my drink to the wrong table, however that being said, i enjoyed my food and have no complaints about time spent there, extremely satisfied!

First off, the service was amazing even though I placed an order to go. The lady was sweet and even placed additional forks and knives in case I broke one. I ordered a rib eye steak medium rare and it was well done and dry. The veggies and potatoes were good but unfortunately the steak was the worst I've had in a restaurant. I definitely would have given less stars but the service was great.

Relaxing atmosphere where you are able to unwind have a nice dinner with loved ones, or if you were meeting up with friends. They do make some delicious contrails.

Oww, what a great find along our Alaskan trip.We had halibut Alfredo and a salmon salad for lumch. Fish cooked to perfection and portions way too big to finish. Wait, JoAnne finished all of her salad. I on the other hand should not have eaten the garlic bread.Service was personal yet professional and we were frequently visited for any needs.

I ordered a 60.00 plate with crab 1lb and deep fried cod 2 and scallops 2 The crab had the taste of freezer burnt scallops and fish were good but could have been more the rice had no flavor The hostess was great but the waitress was grotching every time I said something to her she kinda snapped Well I guess for our first time there the experience was not good by know means!

Consistently great food and service. Went here a couple of times for lunch and the food and service was great. Little pricey (but every restaurant in the area was, tourist season?) but the taste and quality of the food made up for it.

I had the crab and scallop macaroni and cheese. Also a Reuben sandwich with fries. Not one item was bad. Everything was delicious. The other was an appetizer of prime rib steak bites with horseradish and au jus.

Got the smoked Ribeye steak with a salad. I asked for steak to be cooked medium, it was a little more done then medium. Over all the food was good, I do recommend that they sharpen the steak knives as the one I received was more sawed and ripped the meat vs slicing.

This is one of the best places to eat in the state of Alaska. I can not believe how good the food is here. The Kodiak scallops in cream sauce is one of the best dishes i have ever eaten. I do not know how they make that cream sauce but i know it would make any dish you put it on the very best. I will drive friends and family from Anchorage round trip just to eat here it is that good. I am trying to get that recipe. It truly is the best.

I stopped here on Memorial day while I was in Kenai fishing and I'm very happy I did! The food was excellent. Our waitress was kind and attentive. It's a pricier restaurant, but the portions are large enough to be worth it! The atmosphere is intimate and the decor definitely harkens back to an older Alaska.

Always something yummy at Mykel's! Try the cornflake chicken, you can't go wrong - and their pork shank oso bucco is incredible!

Doesn't look overly upscale from the outside, but this is a fantastic restaurant. The server was very friendly and professional. Nice varied menu. We started with oysters on the half shell sold individually ($3 each). We opted for 2 oysters each as a true "appetizer". They were served traditionally with cocktail sauce and horseradish and were extremely fresh. Then we opted to share the nightly special - Grilled Halibut with Thai coconut curry sauce over sticky rice with an excellent spinach vegetable medley ($34). Delicious and flavorful. Perfect amount of food. We had a nice Riesling ($7/glass) with the meal, and they also served hot fresh baked sourdough bread and butter. We felt satisfied so passed on dessert, but they offered a nice selection. A week in Alaska eating out, and this may have been the best meal we've had. Highly recommend.

We just had an excellent Mother's Day brunch, everything was spectacular!

Must stop if you're in the area! They know how to make great sauces. I had the lemon-caper Halibut and lamb stew, which were easily 10/10

Excellent clam chowder, easy listening top notch local entertainment on the weekends. Great dining experience but very pricey. I had the prime rib

Had a company holiday party here, on the downstairs banquet room. Food was good, drinks were amazing, service wasn't bad.Recently had an early dinner with the wifey, the pink drink cocktail was absolutely amazing, the steak I had was cooked to perfection, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was inviting and appealing. I can easily recommend this establishment for lunch or dinner without reservations. One of the very best restaurants in the twin cities. Just be aware the prices are quite expensive, but you absolutely get what you pay for here.
